Mr. Ibrahim Afif joined Radio Seychelles 1975, as an assistant programmes Officer and later he was appointed Managing Director of the SBC in 1992 – 2010. He was charged with the setting up of the Seychelles Media Commission, where he subsequently became the Commission Chairman/Chief Executive Officer. Following the separation of powers, Mr. Afif leads the SMC as CEO.

Rita Joubert-Lawen began her journalism career in 1998 as a radio news reporter with the Seychelles Broadcasting Corporation. She has since gained extensive experience across a range of print media outlets in Seychelles, most recently with the Seychelles News Agency. In addition to her work in the media, Mrs Joubert-Lawen has also served as a Public Relations Manager within government offices, giving her valuable insight and experience from both sides of the communications spectrum.

Mrs. Marie-Anne Dugasse is a former Marketing Assistant with several years’ experience in TV commercial production and advertising. In July 2019 she joined the SMC as the Assistant Administration Officer. She holds a Certificate in Secretarial Studies, Marketing and holds a Certificate in General Management from the Guy Morel Institute.
